Community Health Fair

Spearheaded by more than 50 medical students comprising 7 committees, the Community Health Fair, formerly known as the Hispanic Health Fair, is an annual event that began in 2000. A service-learning project coordinated and run solely by College of Medicine students, this annual event is also an interprofessional effort. UK Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Health Sciences and Public Health work together to provide blood pressure screenings, women's health screenings, basic health checkups and health information to Fayette County's underserved and uninsured population. Interpreters for Spanish, Russian and Mandarin are available onsite. Everything is free and open to the community. For more information on the Community Health Fair, visit
